VIBRATION REDUCTION OF A HAMMER DRILL WITH A TOP-DOWN DESIGN METHOD

Abstract Designing vibrating systems is challenging due to component interaction. One approach reduce the resulting complexity top-down design where requirements on components are formulated such that overall system achieves goal. Previous work showed how derive quantitative and solution-neutral of a system, expressed as permissible ranges impedance. This adapts methodology practical use case provides concrete technical solution: A hammer drill can cause white finger syndromes users equipped with an appropriate vibration absorber. The represented by lumped mass model validated using experimental data reference design. Solution-neutral dynamics absorber impedance derived.
